The MSK Practitioners specialise in the following:
The Phlebotomist takes blood samples for tests ordered by the GP. Phlebotomy appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Attached to the Practice is a Social Prescriber who aims to improve patients health and wellbeing e.g. relationships, diet, finances, housing, stress, anxiety, bereavement etc. A referral to Social Prescribing can connect patients with the appropriate support services, to tackle the issues they are faced with and alleviate some of the pressures that are making them feel unwell.
Community Midwives are attached to the Practice and can offer special advice in both antenatal and postnatal care.
The Health Visitors attached to the Practice can give advice for families with young children and babies. They carry out routine development screening and give parenting advice and support.
The District Nursing Team is attached to the Practice and can offer services at home to the housebound and to recently discharged hospital patients.
The team can be contacted on 275947.
