Dietician

The Dietician provides a detailed dietary assessment and appropriate dietary advice.

 

MSK Practitioners

The MSK Practitioners specialise in the following:

  • All soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Possible problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bone, e.g. tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains.
  • Spinal pain including lower back pain, mid-back pain and neck pain.
  • Spinal-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms, e.g. pins and needles or numbness.
  • Changes to walking.
  • Post-orthopaedic surgery

Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomist takes blood samples for tests ordered by the GP.  Phlebotomy appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Social Prescribing

Attached to the Practice is a Social Prescriber who aims to improve patients health and wellbeing e.g. relationships, diet, finances, housing, stress, anxiety, bereavement etc.  A referral to Social Prescribing can connect patients with the appropriate support services, to tackle the issues they are faced with and alleviate some of the pressures that are making them feel unwell.

Midwives

Community Midwives are attached to the Practice and can offer special advice in both antenatal and postnatal care. 

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors attached to the Practice can give advice for families with young children and babies.  They carry out routine development screening and give parenting advice and support.

 

District Nurses

The District Nursing Team is attached to the Practice and can offer services at home to the housebound and to recently discharged hospital patients.
